Hi Everyone,

We've been to the mountain and back - Mt. Washington that is -- on the Cog Railway! We had an absolutely spectacular trip, and the weather on top of the mountain was sooooo gorgeous -- we could see for miles and miles!!!

Many, many, many thanks to everyone who worked the NASCAR race(s)!!!!! Your efforts were very much appreciated! If anyone who's never worked a race before would like to, please contact Jack Hartman! Again, thank you VERY MUCH!

It's now time for everyone to start thinking Halloween, because we're going on a haunted Halloween hayride (horse drawn) at Charmingfare Farm in Candia on October 24th! The Grand Marshal is taking reservations and we'd love to see a BIG group of Eastern Star and Rainbow folks! I believe the price is approximately $12.00 per person. Come, join us and be scared with the rest of us!!!!!!
International Weekend is in Sturbridge, Mass., this year and should be a great time. Friday evening will be a costume party and Saturday evening the formal banquet. The price includes breakfast Saturday and Sunday and the dinners Friday and Saturday nights, and of course the lodging. I think the reservations are now closed on this but Bryan Prescott is the liaison in NH and may be able to point folks in the right direction to ask Massachusetts.

We'll be going to Rhode Island's Grand Chapter October 8-10, and Quebec on October 13-15. I'll be going up on the 15th for Installation. Traveling out of state is always fun and they love having visitors!

Our first School of Instruction is October 26th in Warner. Silver Hill is hosting this in the big hall in Warner. Sister Bev Cook is taking dinner reservations.

When we get back from International Weekend, we have a few things going - Schools of Instruction on Thursday, November 4th in Goffstown, Friday, November 12th in Kingston and Saturday, November 13th in Lancaster (day school).

We also have two exchanges in November. Pilgrim Chapter #55 in Nashua is hosting Massachusetts on Saturday, November 6th, and NH and Vermont are going to Rhode Island on November 20th. We are working on a bus trip to Rhode Island and would like to make it an overnight if there's enough interest! The exchange is being held in Westerly. The last time we went there for an exchange was in 1992, and we stopped at the Mystic Marine Life Aquarium (and a shopping mall) on the return trip. Again, the Grand Marshal is coordinating this trip! Give her a holler -- we'd love to have a nice group from NH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the beautiful Fall weather we're having! Talk to you next month!

Fraternally,
Carol
